For him, everything is already written,
For her, everything is still being written.
""One day in April, my three-year-old daughter, Carrie, disappeared while we were playing hide-and-seek in my apartment in Brooklyn.""
So begins the story of Flora Conway, a renowned novelist of legendary discretion. There is no explanation for Carrie's disappearance. The apartment door was locked, and its windows were shut. The surveillance cameras in this old New York building recorded no strange movements. The police investigation yielded nothing.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic Ocean, a heartbroken writer hides himself in a dilapidated house.
He alone holds the key to the mystery, and so their destinies will converge.
