A little white house sitting on a mountain at Goshen, West Virginia, along with the natural surroundings of the area spurred a teen-age boy towards adulthood. His intensive thoughts, wonderings, and at times comical outlook on life caused him to write down his reflections in a journal. Those journal entries and poetry are presented here in At Home on the Mountain. As you travel through this adventure to adulthood with Brian, you will begin to see the personality of this young man spring forth. You cannot help but join him sleeping under the stars on the mountain as he ingeniously protects himself from the assault of mosquitoes. You will further follow his trail as he expounds upon the woodchucks that have made themselves at home under the barn. This book is refreshing as it gives us a look at nature through the eyes of a teen-ager. At Home on the Mountain is enjoyable and a treasure.
