BLAKE'S QUEST

TO SAVE THE MAN SHE LOVED, KATE BLAKE FOUND A WAY TO OPEN TIME ITSELF . . . BUT HAD SHE OPENED THE KEY TO CREATION - OR THE GATE TO HELL?

"There are wonders galore in this book ... I don't believe I've read a science fiction novel like Blake's Progress before." -Terry Carr

"I cannot recommend this book more. A bloody masterpiece." Amazon 5-star review

"Worthy of a Hugo and Nebula nomination. I kid you not." Richard Lupoff in AGOL: The Magazine About Science Fiction"

It's 1791 and Catherine Blake has just discovered something terrifying about her husband William.

The world of gods and demons he captures in his poetry and paintings are not, as most have thought, just intense visions that preoccupy his brain day and night.

They are real beings, time travelers from both past and future.

And one of the most powerful, an evil, malevolent entity called Urizen - for his own reasons - has marked the man she loves for extermination.

For, Urizen seeks not just to destroy William Blake, but to alter the past and thus completely "unmake" him - so that he never existed at all.

The people of William's circle thought of Kate Blake as ignorant, illiterate, dowdy, and poor (everything the world around her despised) when they thought of her at all.

All these were true of her - but what they didn't know was the one thing she was not. She was not stupid.

Or, just how far she was willing to go or what she was willing to become to save the man she loved with her entire heart.

Even if it meant "ignorant, illiterate, dowdy, and poor" Kate would have to become a goddess!

"This book triggered some tears at the end. It got to me. It is about a war between good and evil up and down the time stream, and it involv- es radical altering of human history, alternate civilizations, the fate of mankind, billions of souls (yes, damnit, souls!), and more. It is about love and loving in a physical and character climate that you'd swear would result in divorce or murder ten times over. It is about a kind of faith and loyalty and character and virtue the existence of which one must today accept...as an act of faith. It is about the lives of the 18th century mystic poet and artist William Blake and (especially) his wife, Kate. It is their struggle with Urizen, the bearded, naked man from the far, far future who travels in time and who loves to make changes, to indulge himself and to exact a terrible and strange vengeance."
