Buttercup and Daisy and the Hole in the Fence

On a green hill in the English countryside, two little lambs named Buttercup and Daisy live happily in the meadow below an old stone farmhouse. Best friends and endlessly curious, they spend their days racing through the long grass, nibbling sweet clover, and exploring together.

One sunny morning, they discover a mysterious hole at the bottom of the old fence. Wondering what might be on the other side, Buttercup and Daisy squeeze through-and find themselves in a beautiful forest filled with towering trees, mossy oaks, ferns, and the sweetest blackberries they have ever tasted.

But when the two little lambs realize they can no longer find their way home, their adventure suddenly feels very different. Then they meet Cooper, a friendly, short-legged dog who is a little lost himself. Together, the three new friends set off to find their way back, discovering that each of them has something special to contribute along the way.

Buttercup and Daisy and the Hole in the Fence is a gentle, beautifully illustrated story about curiosity, friendship, teamwork, adventure, and the comfort of knowing someone is waiting for you at home.

Inspired by a real dog and a real farm, this warmhearted story from the English countryside introduces young readers to Buttercup, Daisy, and Cooper-and the beginning of their adventures together.
