L’architettura svizzera costituisce un campo d’indagine preferenziale per la ricerca scientifica sulle discipline del progetto. Basta fare cenno ai temi che più ricorrono nel lavoro degli architetti elvetici contemporanei: regionalismo e internazionalismo, dialogo ininterrotto con il Movimento Moderno, rapporto con la natura, equilibrio tra misura e proporzione, relazione tra creazione artistica e manufatto, ma anche e soprattutto la sacralità del costruire. Questo libro è diviso in due parti, la nuova edizione aggiornata di “Cinque architetture svizzere. Progetto, inconscio, natura” e “Quattro caratteri dell’architettura svizzera al tempo dell’Antropocene” saggio pubblicato dalla rivista svizzera «Archi», per l’occasione ampliato da una serie di disegni preliminari inediti e integrato da ulteriori considerazioni emerse sul tema. Il primo è uno studio del rapporto tra natura e architettura, il secondo costituisce un avanzamento di questa ricerca e propone l’introduzione di nuove categorie di analisi a partire da quattro termini, Figurazione, Intersezione, Instabilità, Relazione, che segnano l’architettura elvetica degli ultimi anni.
