To find Experiment 42, they must first find each other. Before anyone else does.

Young Lenny invents experiments to discover his unknown past and is teleported to a magical world. He soon learns that finding the other outcasts there is key to finding his experiments. Hunted by a powerful regime and haunted by their past, the fellowship's quest for answers becomes a perilous fight for survival, friendship, and freedom in a world of arcane intrigue and mythical beasts.

Outcasts of Orovoron is the first installment of a book series inspired by a YouTube series the author created in 2014: Experiment 42. It was a massive hit, garnering millions of views and making the author the first Dutch minor to receive a YouTube Silver Playbutton.

Lenny is a seventeen-year-old boy living all alone in the city, with no memories of his past. He has no real friends and spends all his time inventing brilliant but chaotic experiments to help him remember who he is. The only lead he has is an unsettling, recurring dream about a shattered city and a hurt little boy who looks familiar. While working on ways to find out more, he creates Experiment 42.

This takes him to a world unlike anything he's seen before, and he wakes up in a strange valley with even stranger creatures. He soon learns his experiments came with him, spelling possible disaster in the wrong hands. A mysterious new friend promises to help gather them, but their quest quickly turns into an epic yet perilous adventure; travelling from mystic lakes through creepy titan-filled canyons to the Tall Tree Forest, where an infamous monster, the Avikira lives... all the while hiding from the eyes and swords of the powerful city high above the valley. Past and present of beings from both worlds soon start colliding, leading to both danger and heartbreak but also to incredible discoveries, beautiful moments, wonderful friends and new freedom.
