I hate sports. My whole family talks about nothing but sports-sports here, sports there. My older brother is the ultimate role model. My father practically worships him like a god, simply because he's already made it as a professional soccer player. I prefer studying and am grateful for my good grades, but my father would rather I be a carbon copy of my brother. In a way, I'm glad I attend a fairly new school. I'm surrounded by academics there and don't have to put on an act. I've been there for two years now, and I have yet another reason to stay away from sports: Dean Wolf. An exceptional talent-and the captain of the junior soccer team to boot.
I'd drop dead before I ever voluntarily touched a soccer ball. There's no way anyone is luring me into that. I'm an academic, not some dumb jock.
