The book describes the course of the 1918-1919 Polish-Ukrainian War. Most of the characters are real historical figures. These are the personalities from the ZUNR and UNR (The Ukrainian People's Republic), Poland, the Entente states, writers, actors, and journalists of that time. The novel also features literary characters: Adrian Korsivsky, Leontiy Korsakovsky, Franka, her brother, and many others. The story dives deep into the male friendship, as well as the love of a Ukrainian man and a Polish woman who were born and raised near the Citadel hotel - a special place for everyone who knows and loves Lviv.

Ця книга - про польсько-українську війну 1918-19 рр. Більшість її персонажів є реальними історичними постатями. Йдеться про діячів ЗУНР і УНР, Польщі, держав Антанти, письменників, акторів, журналістів того часу. Присутні у тексті герої літературні: Адріян Корсівський, Леонтій Корсаковський, Франка, її брат, Максиміліан фон Айхінґер та багато інших.

Водночас ця книга про чоловічу дружбу, про любов українця і польки, які народилися і зростали неподалік Цитаделі - місця особливого для усіх, хто знає і любить Львів.
