During the COVID-19 Pandemic shelter-in-place, Nova reflects on the strange events occurring. She is bored with staying inside and misses her friends and loved ones. As a result, Nova is motivated to help others by performing acts of kindness and generosity.
I Did It In 2020 seeks to inspire the readers to appreciate the positive things they accomplished during the pandemic and other challenging times. Although Nova's mother initiates the challenge and makes suggestions, it is Nova that comes up with fun ways to beat boredom and at the same time bring love and positivity to her community. Accomplishing these tasks makes Nova proud. She learns a lot about herself, and she is inspired to take her goals beyond the list!
