The transmission of digital information requires a high degree of secrecy, particularly for digital images. The use of conventional encryption algorithms such as Rivest-Shamir-Adleman, the Advanced Encryption Standard, and the Data Encryption Standard has not become sufficiently valid to protect all types of digital images. For this reason, image encryption has become an urgent challenge and a concern for many researchers in recent years. Several image encryption schemes have been developed using various techniques such as quantum theory, DNA coding, and chaos theory. However, most of the proposed schemes have several security flaws. In chaotic map-based image encryption, the security of the encryption algorithm depends on the characteristics of the chaotic maps and the structure of the algorithm, so a better distribution of chaotic maps is necessary. However, classical chaotic systems such as logistic and quadratic maps suffer from numerous weaknesses.
