In contrast to Clara's strict leadership, Jessy offers David closeness, understanding, and a sense of equality. Her own identity as a "Switch"-one who enjoys both power and submission-challenges David's traditional role perception while simultaneously fascinating him.

The Path to the Covenant

A turning point occurs when David confesses his insecurities and growing love for Clara to Jessy. The open conversation resolves the tension and is sealed with a spontaneous, tender kiss from Jessy. To prove his trust and willingness to submit, David performs a symbolic kneel before Jessy.

On the final evening, Clara confronts David with the same expectation. After a brief reprieve elegantly negotiated by Jessy, David also kneels before Clara. This act of humility and trust before both women serves as the founding moment of their throuple. They affirm their covenant in a small ritual where each reveals a personal truth and vulnerability, and subsequently seal it in a night of intimacy marked by passion, tenderness, and the feeling of being embraced and held.

The Final Days and the Ending

The remaining days are spent in a deep, unfamiliar harmony that David perceives as a new form of "home." His fears give way to a sense of belonging. As a farewell, David receives an engraved bracelet as a silent token of his place.

Volume 1 concludes with David leaving the protective environment of the apartment. His farewell is not an end, but the beginning of a test: what has grown in isolation must now prove itself in everyday life.
