Korby the Hedgehog

Korby the Hedgehog: When You Get Angry is a gentle, beautifully illustrated children's story for ages 3-6 that helps young children understand and manage one of their strongest emotions in a practical, faith-based way.

In this engaging 26-page story, Korby is a lovable young hedgehog who enjoys family, outdoor adventures, and time with Papaw and Nana. But when something doesn't go his way, Korby feels a rush of anger that he doesn't know how to control. His big feelings begin to affect his choices, his words, and the people around him.

Through the patient guidance of his grandparents, Korby begins to learn that anger is something he can understand, slow down, and handle in a better way. With simple, relatable moments and calm instruction, he discovers that he does not have to let anger take over.

Written to connect with real childhood experiences, this story helps children recognize what anger feels like and gives them practical, easy-to-follow ways to respond differently. Faith-based principles are woven naturally throughout the story, including carefully selected Bible verses from the English Standard Version (ESV), offering clear and steady guidance children can remember and apply.

At the end of the story, a simple 6-question discussion section helps parents and children talk through what they learned, making the message both practical and personal.

As Korby learns to pause, think, and choose a better response, young readers are reminded that they are not alone in their feelings, that they can grow, and that God is with them as they learn and change.

Part of the Korby the Hedgehog series, this book helps children face real-life challenges with calm, confidence, and faith.
