L'auteur a analysé les contenus d'un manuel scolaire pour révéler leurs références savantes et socio-politiques.La vulgate scolaire est formé d'éléments d'une histoire savante transposé de maničre linéaire et déterministe pour servir ŕ la promotion politique des élčves aux valeurs choisis par l'élite politique au pouvoir ŕ savoir le nationalisme tunisien moderne. Le choix des contenus linéaires nuit ŕ l'une des principales compétences que développent l'enseignement de l'histoire ŕ savoir l'esprit critique, il restreint les opérations d'apprentissage ŕ la simple mémorisation.L'enquęte par questionnaire a permis d'aborder le mode d'appropriation de l'histoire scolaire par les élčves et l'impact de l'histoire apprise sur leurs identisation.Elle a révélé un clivage entre l'identité nationale tunisienne circulé par la vulgate scolaire et l'identité des élčves qui est alimenté par le sentiment d'appartenance ŕ une sphčre plus large. Ce clivage emmčne ŕ des conflits sociocognitifs qui empreignent l'opération éducative et l'identisation souhaité par l'enseignement de l'histoire,il engendre aussi des acteurs assujetti
