Addison Blackwell was everything a young lady should be, and more. Thanks to her father who encouraged her "unladylike" interests, including how to run an estate. She had everything she could have wanted, two older brothers, Jack and Daniel, who she adored, and a father that didn't try to smother her wild nature. However, life took a devastating turn. Addison's father died after two years of fighting an illness and during that time both her brothers became more and more distant.

After the funeral, Jack and Daniel left without a second thought for Addison. While mourning the death of her father and the distance her brothers put between them, Addison stumbled across something that nearly cost her her life.
