When Hazel and Rosalina think they can finally get away from their past, their family drama, everything catches up to them. She was supposed to be in Alaska, with their dad, Dale. Dale wasn't with her. Anne is hysterical, Dale has been gone for a week. Last time they were together, they were hiking the Denali Mountain Range. She had all of his necessities to survive.
The girls live in Hawaii, on Molokai. Anne hasn't contacted the girls but a phone call here and there. Anne and Dale chose love and colder tempatures, they decided one day to up and move to Alaska, or so the girls thought.
