Maroon

Maroon is a red fox who wants nothing more than to remain at peace with her friends. Constantly worrying about her friends has limited her world, because it keeps her from exploring too far. That worry is soon broken when Slate, her enemy, threatens her very safety. Maroon is forced to choose between protecting herself or her friends, who don't see the truth behind Slate. Deciding to fend for herself, Maroon embarks on a long journey to find a new home, exploring the unknown dangers of the world and the secrets it holds.

But throughout that journey, Maroon begins to question herself. Is she making the right decision or was leaving her friends behind a terrible mistake? Her fears start to overlap into what's true, and Maroon is afraid the only one she can ever trust is herself. Just when she thinks she's found a new home, her world takes a turn. Her friends are in danger, and the one fox she spent weeks escaping from is the only one who can bring her back. Does she trust him? Side by side, the two start another journey to get back home. Along the way Maroon questions if the real one she's running from is Slate or herself.
