Never Quit

A strikeout can end an inning. It doesn't have to end a kid's confidence.

An error. A spot on the bench. A slump that won't go away. Every young baseball player eventually faces a moment that makes them wonder: Am I good enough?

NEVER QUIT brings those moments to life through 20 inspirational baseball stories for kids ages 8-12. These players aren't always the stars. They don't always get the winning hit. Sometimes they lose-and still discover something worth carrying into the next game.

Through relatable characters, dugout humor, and realistic baseball situations, young readers explore how to:

• Rebuild confidence after mistakes.
• Face fear without pretending it isn't there.
• Support teammates when jealousy gets in the way.
• Take responsibility without blaming themselves for everything.
• Handle pressure, disappointment, and change.
• Keep going when improvement takes longer than they hoped.

Each chapter includes The Story, The Lesson, Think About It, and Take It to the Field, giving kids questions to consider and practical mental tools to try at their next practice or game.

At its heart is a lesson bigger than baseball: Never quitting doesn't mean you can never stop an activity or choose a different path. It means you don't quit on yourself because something became difficult.

Whether read independently or shared with a parent or coach, NEVER QUIT helps young players understand that confidence isn't knowing they'll succeed.

It's knowing they're worth another chance.

For the kid who loves baseball-and the kid learning to believe in themselves.
