Orvenheim

Orvenheim is the last refuge of humanity. At least, that is what Einar has always been told. Hidden high in the mountains, the village has sealed itself away from a ruined outside world said to be overrun with evil spirits. No one leaves its walls. No one questions why. But Einar longs to see the outside world, to be a great warrior and fight back against the demons. Then two armed strangers appear from outside the wall, asking for his father by name. As Einar's beliefs about the outside world crumble around him, his father agrees to leave with these mysterious outsiders, leaving Einar and his mother behind. In a sudden spur of defiance, he runs after his father, leaving the safety of his home behind. He must navigate through the mysteries of the outside world and life as a child soldier all in pursuit of the father that left him behind. As Einar fights to see his father again, he is forced to see that war is nothing like the stories he heard at home as a child. In trying to get his father back, he risks losing much more, his innocence, his identity, and even his life.
