Colúlecció d'obres fins ara inèdites de Frederic Mompou Les obres d'aquesta colúlecció s'han distribuït en tres volums de peces per a piano sol, un de veu i piano i un altre d'escrits en forma de miscelúlània. Frederic Mompou és, sens dubte, un dels compositors catalans més universals del segle XX. La seva obra, fonamentalment per a piano, aconsegueix extreure d'aquest instrument ressonàncies màgiques que fan inconfusible el seu estil, inspirat també, com reconeixia el mateix compositor, en la música del seu país. Com a miniaturista del so que era, Mompou treballava acuradament les seves obres i era molt exigent amb el resultat final. De fet, des que va començar a fer les primeres provatures compositives fins que va donar per bona la seva primera obra va esmerçar-hi dos anys de treball tenaç. Però no sempre llençava el material que desestimava sinó que sovint decidia guardar-lo, ja fos per revisar-lo posteriorment o bé per aprofitar alguna idea per a una altra obra. El cas és que una bona part d'aquest material va quedar dipositat a la Fundació Frederic Mompou, creada per Carme Bravo, vídua del compositor, i una altra a la Biblioteca de Catalunya. Gràcies a la voluntat difusora de Joan Millà, actual president de la Fundació, i a la colúlaboració dels pianistes Mac McClure i Jordi Masó, que han classificat i enregistrat aquesta obra inèdita, ha estat possible treure a la llum un bon nombre de composicions de Mompou fins ara desconegudes i que ara publica Editorial Boileau.
