PROFILE OF A PRISONER

Profile of a Prisoner: Hope Behind Bars is a faith-centered guide to dignity, repentance, spiritual freedom, and personal transformation for incarcerated men and those who minister to them.

Through the lives of biblical figures who experienced imprisonment, accusation, exile, suffering, or public disgrace, Dr. Estella Conwill Majozo explores how faith can survive even in the most difficult circumstances. From Jesus Christ and Dismas to Paul, Peter, Joseph, Jeremiah, Samson, King Manasseh, and John the Evangelist, each chapter connects Scripture with the emotional, spiritual, and practical struggles faced by people behind bars.

Designed to be read slowly and reflectively, the book includes plain-language reading guides, prayers, discussion questions, personal reflections, and practical strategies for spiritual growth. It encourages readers to confront wrongdoing honestly without allowing past failures, prison sentences, or social labels to define their entire identity.

Written primarily for incarcerated men, Profile of a Prisoner is also suitable for prison ministries, chaplains, pastors, volunteers, families, Bible-study groups, and reentry programs. At its heart is a message of hope: confinement may restrict the body, but it does not have to imprison the soul.

The manuscript itself describes the book as being written primarily for incarcerated men seeking "hope, clarity, and spiritual direction," while also addressing families, chaplains, volunteers, and others supporting incarcerated people. Profile of a Prisoner13 FINAL T...
