The Japanese healing modality known as Reiki has been practiced since its founder, Mikao Usui, discovered the ancient Sanskrit symbols and secrets for natural healing that exist in the Vedas, through ancient documents and Buddhist teachings made available to him during his training to become a Buddhist Monk. These ancient secrets are among the highest wisdom and healing power, which have been kept secret for millenia. Mikao Usui founded the first Reiki Gakkai (School) in 1922, and the practice has been passed down in oral tradition from generation to generation of Reiki Masters.
Now, the foundation of these ancient secrets is available to you, too. This guide, by Reiki Master Teacher Michelle Righetti, is a practical manual which explores the foundations, the lineage, and the history of the traditional teachings of Usui Reiki Shiki Ryoho. In this journey, you will begin the flow of Ki to your body, and learn powerful practices that can help you heal yourself, plants, and animals naturally and with ease. If you have ever been curious about Reiki, wondered if or why it works, or felt called to begin your own healing journey, this book is for you.
We will not only learn what Reiki is, but why and how it works. We will explore the nuances of the energetic body, and learn how to begin to map our own energetic flow. And we will demystify an ancient practice so that no matter what your experience level, or sensitivity to energy - you, too, can begin your Reiki self-healing journey.
