Righteous Dawn

Beyond Werewolves and Vampires, Darker Lore Lingers In Shadow

Gideon Wolf's world has turned not only upside down but inside out. Everything the world-renowned archaeologist thought he knew about history, about myth, about humanity's place in the universe has somersaulted from reality into a new world he can scarcely believe.

In just a few days, the capricious hand of fate has flung Gideon from the status of celebrated scholar to wanted murderer. The US government, the Mexican cartels, even a shadowy team of assassins are hunting him.

All because he discovered some ancient amulet in a hidden jungle temple. All because he killed the drug lord who murdered his wife to force him to look for it. All because that mysterious amulet now transforms Gideon into El Chupacabra-part man, part monster, part ancient guardian sent to protect humanity from the evil running the world.

Gideon is as confused as anyone why he must carry this burden. But he clearly understands that if he doesn't fulfill his destiny, the dark, dangerous forces now arrayed against him won't stop until they've stolen his power, killed him and everyone he loves, and plunged humanity into a new Dark Age.

USA Today best-selling author Ernest Dempsey blends his mastery of history, myth, and suspense to deliver the pounding second installment of the first great series of 2022. Righteous Dawn continues the saga of our antihero for the new age: Dr. Gideon Wolf, a man who resists the call of destiny until, at last, he has no other choice.
