L'estudi presentat aborda les relacions interpersonals entre infants i adolescents en el marc dels grups classe. A partir de l'administració del sociograma GRODE s'analitzen les preferčncies i els rebutjos de noies i nois segons el sexe de les persones emissores i receptores. Es va treballar sobre les dades aportades per més de 7.700 alumnes pertanyents a 58 centres d'educació primŕria i secundŕria de la Comunitat Autňnoma de Catalunya. Els resultats de la recerca posen en evidčncia que hi ha una major acceptació de les noies, tant per part del col·lectiu femení com del masculí i que, entre els 6 i els 16 anys es manifesta una marcada preferčncia relacional envers les persones del propi sexe i una tendčncia a la concentració de rebutjos envers les que no ho són. Aquest fenomen d'autosegregació revela la prsčncia de subcultures femenines i masculines que ordenen les relacions i que contribueixen significativament a la construcció de la identitat de gčnere. El procés de socialització que té lloc durant l'escolarització tendeix així a produir i reproduir les representacions tradicionals d'allň que es considera o femení o masculí.
