Selected Picture Books of Folktales

At the foot of a mountain lived an old man, his wife, and their six sons. The boys were clever and capable - they just happened to be very short in stature. One day, the six sons said goodbye to their parents and decided to go out into the world to make their own way. Although they were small, they were hardworking, clever, capable, and unafraid of hardship. Through their own efforts, each son found a suitable trade and went on to live a happy life.

The story unfolds through dialogue, centered around how many "feet" each son's livelihood depends on. Children are invited to guess the objects based on the number of feet - a playful clue hidden in the illustrations. Through this process of guessing and discovering, young readers experience the joy of reading.
