CASH I didn't come back to Sagebrush for a warm welcome. I came back to bury the father who disowned me and take over the ranch that was my birthright. Then the tornado hit. It ripped through the valley, and leveled my inheiritance to splinters. Now I'm a cowboy with nowhere to go, too stubborn to ask for help and too broke to refuse it. Enter Pastor Mike. He's new, he's trying to hold a broken town together, and he just offered me the spare room in the parsonage. I should have said no. I have no business sharing close quarters with a man of the cloth. Especially a man whose kind eyes and gentle hands make me want things I swore I'd never need again. I thought he was just trying to be a friendly neighbor. But the closer we get in that tiny house, the more I realize I don't want a friend. I want him.
