Swan's Pond

Apparently, when Odette has a bad day, she has a very bad one.

In the span of just a couple of hours, Odette Swan loses her job, her apartment, and her boyfriend (okay, more like the guy she was dating and if she was honest, he wasn't that much of a loss). After a few weeks with no success on the job front and living in a motel, she decides to visit her favorite place in the world, Swan Pond. Little does she know, that decision will alter the course of her life when she meets George Beckett, and through a course of events that could only be classified as God-driven, she meets his grandson, Nicolas Beckett. Odette saw the offer of a contract marriage for what it was, a chance for these men to rescue her from her current predicament. One she was very tempted to accept, even though it meant trusting someone other than herself.

Nick Bennett had closed off his heart from love; after the tragic death of his fiancée 5 years ago, he felt he didn't deserve a second chance. Nor did he want anything to do with God, who he felt had allowed it to happen. But after meeting Odette, he felt drawn to her in a way he couldn't understand. Her spirit and faith made Nick question everything and want to know her more. So when his grandfather concocted a crazy idea of the contract marriage, Nick wasn't sure who was crazier: George for coming up with the idea in the first place or himself for going along with it.
