From Cahuenga at 11 p.m. to Franklin at night, from Griffith Park dusted in ash to the looping corridors of myth and pop culture, the city becomes both setting and psychological condition.

These poems braid personal fracture with cultural noise: Diet Coke tears, Schubert drifting through strange rooms, junkies at 7-Elevens, pools, parties, and private dissolutions rendered in sharp, cinematic detail. Desire is unstable, repetition becomes ritual, and love is continually misread as something just out of reach.
