This collection of poems and projects began as asupplement to other programs used to teach children the alphabet. The worksheets labeled Trace in the Space help with fine motor skills while teaching the students to formthe letter of the week. The worksheets labeled Search and Color help train the eyes to flow from left to right in preparation of reading while learning to recognize the letter.The list of Fun Words for the week will serve as a visual when displayed at the children's eye level. After reading the list of Fun Words to and with the class, the children will enjoy trying to read the list by themselves. Many times theylike to play "school" at recess.
