The author, for many years an entrepreneurin the communicationsfield, wasborn in Bogota, Colombia in 1944.Lawyer andEconomist from UniversidadJaveriana in Bogota, has aMasterDegree in Economic Developmentfrom the University ofWisconsin ?Milwaukee, and master studies inLiterature fromUniversidad Javeriana.He also obtained a Masters inWritingfrom Universidad Nacional in Colombia,in2010.For over twenty years, has been aprofessor of theRosario and Javerianauniversities, in economic andsocialsubjects. Now he has immersed himselfin the literature.Being a customarytraveler by necessity and passion, helinksthese varied and enriching experiencesinto his literarywork.He has published two books of shortstories: ?ThePygmalion Statue? and?Walking towards the end of theEarth?.?The Diamond Mermaid? is his firstnovel. He is workingnow in othernovels, stories and essays that arecoming out inthe next months.He is convinced that the functionofliterature goes beyond plain amusement,that´s why heinvolves the deepestaspects of the human psyche andthe society where they operate. He usesthem constantly taking intoconsiderationwider objectives.
