Some paths are forgotten. Others are simply waiting to be walked again.
When an ancient Storykeeper waystone turns towards the eastern ridge beyond the Twin Valleys, Amara knows something has changed.
For generations, the old paths beyond Jegede and Tumo have faded from memory. No one knows where they lead, why the waystones have begun to move, or who, if anyone, still remembers how to follow them.
Amara has a choice: remain in the home she loves, or step beyond the familiar and discover what waits on the other side of the ridge.
Together with Kito, Sewa, Tarek and the Storykeeper Lumo, she follows the forgotten road into a wider Koruma than any of them imagined. Along the way they encounter mysterious charcoal marks, ancient bridges, hidden wells, travelling songs and communities preserving knowledge in ways very different from their own.
But the greatest surprise is not what has been lost.
It is what still remains.
As fresh footprints begin appearing on supposedly forgotten roads, Amara realises they are not the only ones searching. Someone is walking the paths ahead of them, repairing old markers, leaving signs and drawing distant routes back towards one another.
To understand why, Amara and her friends must learn that remembering the past is not enough. Roads, stories and connections survive only when people choose to care for them and sometimes the best way forward can only be found by listening to those who remember differently.
A warm, richly imagined fantasy adventure about courage, friendship, discovery and the many ways people remain connected across distance and generations.
The Forgotten Paths is Book Three of The Koruma Series and can be enjoyed as a standalone adventure or as the next step in Amara's journey through Koruma.
