The Impossibility Of Obtaining Salvation By Faith Without Obedience

The Impossibility Of Obtaining Salvation By Faith Without Obedience presents three sermons delivered by John Gaunt in the parish church of St. Martin, Birmingham, during November 1769. These sermons explore the critical relationship between faith and obedience in the attainment of salvation, offering theological insights rooted in 18th-century Christian doctrine.

Gaunt's work delves into the nuances of salvation, emphasizing that genuine faith necessitates adherence to divine commandments. These sermons provide a valuable window into the religious thought of the period, reflecting debates and interpretations prevalent during the era of their delivery. For scholars and readers interested in historical theology and sermon literature, this collection offers a glimpse into the spiritual landscape of 18th-century England and the enduring questions of faith and salvation.
