The Little AI Helpers

The Little AI Helpers is an educational picture book for children ages 5-10 that introduces artificial intelligence through an engaging and informative story.

When a group of young students is challenged to create an invention for their school, they have plenty of creative ideas but are not sure how to organize their thoughts, solve problems, or get started. Then a team of friendly digital characters known as The Little AI Helpers appears to lend a hand.

At first, the children think the AI Helpers can complete the entire project for them. They soon discover, however, that AI does not always get things right. It may misunderstand a question, provide inaccurate information, or suggest an idea that simply does not work.

With guidance from their teacher, the children learn five important steps for using AI responsibly: ask clearly, think about the answer, check the information, make it your own, and use technology safely and kindly. As they put these lessons into practice, they discover that their invention succeeds not because AI does the work for them, but because they combine helpful technology with their own imagination, teamwork, judgment, and care.

Through simple language, humor, repetition, and colorful visual storytelling, The Little AI Helpers introduces young readers to the idea that AI tools can use patterns in information to help organize ideas and offer suggestions, but can also make mistakes. Most importantly, children learn that their own questions, choices, creativity, and critical thinking remain essential when using technology.

Perfect for classrooms, libraries, and families beginning conversations about artificial intelligence, The Little AI Helpers helps build early AI literacy while encouraging curiosity, creativity, digital safety, critical thinking, and responsible decision-making.
