The Moresby Witness

Here is a KDP-ready description for The Moresby Witness, written to suit Amazon's product page and avoid giving away too much of the plot:

In the winter of 1909, Moresby Hall is supposed to be coming back to life. Instead, something buried beneath it begins to wake.

When the Calthorpe family arrives at the ancient Cumberland estate, restoration work has already uncovered two human skeletons beneath the floor. One appears centuries old. The other is far more recent, chained at the wrists and buried with a message:

WE PUT HIM BACK WHERE THEY FOUND HIM.

Soon, unexplained knocks echo from beneath the house. Footsteps move through walls where no passage should exist. A child sees a bloodstained stranger watching from an upstairs window, and an old blocked staircase begins to reveal secrets that were never meant to be disturbed.

As the investigation reaches into Moresby's Roman past, local folklore and a disappearance from ten years earlier, the family discovers that the dead man beneath the floor may not be the greatest danger hidden there.

For generations, people have watched the boundaries around Moresby Hall.

They have remembered the old names.

They have kept the doors closed.

And now someone has opened one.

The Moresby Witness is a dark historical supernatural thriller of buried secrets, ancient ritual, family mystery and a house whose history refuses to remain dead.

Perfect for readers who enjoy atmospheric ghost stories, historical mysteries, occult suspense and slow-burning supernatural horror.
