The Name on the ID

Bob Baggins spent his life trying to become somebody.

A survivor of Vietnam, Bob returns home carrying the ghosts of his platoon and a lesson from the man who taught him how to survive: if you can convince yourself a lie is real, you can convince anyone else.

That lesson takes Bob from the courtroom to the underworld of Las Vegas, where cocaine, organized crime, Russian money, and his own spectacular talent for self-destruction finally catch up with him.

When witness protection gives Bob a new identity and drops him in Phoenix, the man who once dreamed of becoming powerful becomes Dan Brown, a broke, hard-drinking used-car salesman working beside a mechanic whose real name he refuses to remember.

Somewhere between the bad cars, cheap whiskey, desert heat, and twenty years of insults shared between two stubborn old men, something unexpected happens.

Bob Baggins finally builds a life worth living.

Then his past walks onto the lot.

Darkly funny, violent, profane, and unexpectedly human, The Name on the ID is a gritty neo-noir about identity, friendship, and a man who spent his entire life trying to become important before discovering what actually mattered.
