The Order of Christ

This book explores the story of the Knight Templars became excellent warrior monks; they were dedicated primarily to the perfection of their military prowess, dedicated to a higher cause. They trained as highly skilled Knight Templars. They became the greatest cavalry warriors of their generation.

The warrior monks were disciplined; many of them came from the upper classes; they gave up everything for their mission in the Order of Christ. They gave up their right to own property, to govern their own daily lives; they gave up their personal pursuits. They took an oath of obedience, to obey the rules of the order, or of the temple. They used, but did not own, their horse, their armor, or anything themselves; all their things belonged to the Order of Christ. They had no personal or private wealth of their own.

The Knight Templars were the financial arm of the church. The Church was helping Europe and the Middle East with its reliable, consistent, and efficient banking system, and services, for all that needed it. The Church, as an organization, knew, and valued the work, profitability, selflessness, and dedication, of the warrior monks, the Knight Templars.
