Behavioral scientist Nora Vass helped design the perfect controlled environment: a classified underground research facility where every variable is measured, every movement is recorded, and every outcome should be predictable.

For seventy-two hours, a team of elite scientists will evaluate a groundbreaking artificial intelligence system under complete lockdown. No one can enter. No one can leave. Every protocol has been tested. Every contingency has been accounted for.

Then the project director is found dead inside a biometric-sealed glass room.

The security logs show only one authorized entry. No exits. No breach. No explanation.

As the lockdown continues, Nora is forced to investigate the impossible crime from inside the very system she created. Every clue points toward someone in the facility.
