The Soul Fisher

Originally psychographed in Portuguese by Valter Turini and dictated by the spirit Monsignor Eusébio Sintra, The Soul Fisher is a powerful mediumistic novel that exposes the spiritual reality behind the historical drama of first-century Rome during the turbulent reign of Emperor Nero.

The epic narrative follows the intertwined destinies of two patrician families struggling to find meaning in an era of extreme decadence, violence, and moral decay. General Caius Petronius Tarquinius returns from his campaigns with a failing liver. Despite sacrificing a hecatomb of oxen to Jupiter, his health only deteriorates. His devoted wife, Drusilla Antonia, desperately turns to a secret sect of Christians and the healer Rufus, a follower of the Apostle Peter. Through a profound lay-on-hands prayer, Caius is miraculously healed. Shattering his marble idols, the general openly embraces the teachings of Jesus, soon joined by Drusilla, and their young wards, Flavius Antoninus and Susanna Procula.

Susanna, the beautiful granddaughter of Senator Cornelius Helvetius, finds herself at the center of a toxic obsession. Her cruel, arrogant cousin, Iulius Maximus, relentlessly pursues her. During a chaotic imperial banquet hosted by Nero where a wild lion breaks free, Susanna is separated from Iulius and rescued by Flavius, Caius's loyal orderly. A pure love blossoms between them. When Susanna officially rejects Iulius, he explodes in a fit of rage, murdering Senator Cornelius and beating Susanna into a coma. Seeking to escape justice, Iulius wins the favor of Emperor Nero by blaming Christians for the Great Fire of Rome.

Though Susanna is miraculously healed by Rufus and marries Flavius, their happiness is short-lived. Iulius tracks down the family and denounces them to the Praetorian Guard. Caius, Drusilla, Flavius, and Susanna are arrested. In a desperate act of paternal love, Caius bribes the guards to allow Flavius and Susanna to flee to Naples. Nero, seeking to maximize Caius's torment, frees the general but keeps Drusilla imprisoned. Soon after, Drusilla is martyred as a human torch in the Circus Maximus, her soul peacefully welcomed into the spiritual plane by Jesus Himself.

Meanwhile, Iulius hunts the young lovers to Naples, discovering their hiding place and brutally stabbing Susanna to death. Devastated by grief and blinded by a desire for vengeance, Flavius violates his Christian principles of unconditional forgiveness. He tracks Iulius back to Rome, beats him, and stabs him to death, before committing suicide with his own dagger. The tragedy concludes with Flavius and Iulius's spirits locked in a violent, obsessive struggle in the astral realm, while the spirits of Susanna and Drusilla watch over them, waiting for time and pain to dissolve their karmic ties. The Soul Fisher is a gripping demonstration of the law of cause and effect, illustrating that while hatred binds souls to the abyss, the Gospel of love and forgiveness is the only path to true liberation.
