Spark Before the Flame

First time author Brenden Horned debuts with this heart wrenching story of first love found and lost. Told from the male perspective, complete with playlists and photos, this tale will leave your heart hurting. Do you remember those first feelings of all consuming love and desire? What about that first loss that never completely healed, yet has always been there to define what you are looking for....your true spark. Blonde haired, blue eyed Desmond Clermont had a plan to be the best he could possibly be. He wanted to be the leading man every girl desired. He started with the basics. His clothes, his interests, his mannerisms. He knew he had to be exceptional. Then one morning it all changed. With the ring of his phone she redefined everything. She became his focus, his desire, his world. It was as if she cast a spell and became the very blood that pumped through his veins. She was everything he wanted, she was perfect. She became his addiction. Two years later yet another call leaves Desmond heartbroken and feeling incomplete. "Was I not everything she wanted in a man? Was I dreaming when she said she loved me? The one person who knew me decided I wasn't enough. What does that say about me?"
