Vijay Malur looks back at a life filled with happy, sad, depressing, and exhilarating experiences in this inspiring memoir. Everything for the successful physician changed in 1998 when an accident took away some of his memory and sight. Three months later, he underwent quadruple cardiac bypass surgery. By taking life one day at a time, he found he could accomplish things he never would have imagined. That outlook was what enabled him in 2003 to scale the base camp of Mount Everest from Lukla after trekking more than seven days. More than ten years later, he would reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. He celebrated his seventieth birthday at the top of the mountain. If someone who has lost his intellectual memory and faced death can find the will to live and enjoy life to the fullest, then can't you? Find the strength to overcome any obstacle and stop holding yourself back. It begins with learning the life lessons in Towards Thin Air.
