La Parálisis Facial Periférica de Bell es una enfermedad aguda que afecta el VII par craneal (facial) que puede ocurrir a cualquier edad, cuyo síntoma principal es la parálisis de la mitad de la cara. Se realizó un estudio cuasi-experimental longitudinal con el objetivo de evaluar la eficacia del tratamiento de acupuntura y masaje en una población de 49 pacientes afectados de Parálisis Facial Periférica de Bell que fueron atendidos en la consulta de fisiatría de la sala de rehabilitación del policlínico I Antonio Ávila Valdivia del municipio Jatibonico, en el período 1 ro de septiembre 2011 hasta el 31 de agosto de 2012.
