LUIS MUÑOZ (Granada, 1966) es autor de Septiembre (1991), Manzanasamarillas (1995) -premio Ciudad de Córdoba-, El apetito (1998),Correspondencias (2001) -premio Generación del 27 y Ojo Crítico-, yQuerido silencio (2006). Su obra hasta 2005 está incluida en elvolumen Limpiar pescado. Poesía reunida. Dirigió, entre 1992 y 2002,la revista Hélice. Ha editado el volumen El lugar de la poesía (1994), y ha traducido, entre otros autores, a Giuseppe Ungaretti y unaselección de poetas británicos de la llamada New Generation. Desde2012 es profesor en la Universidad de Iowa, Estados Unidos, y viveentre Iowa City y Madrid.Su escritura explora lo irrepetible de cada cosa, la duración, elaislamiento, la falta, la transformación con los otros, la presión dela memoria, el origen como el lugar al que se vuelve y lapotencialidad de las sensaciones que -por decirlo con palabras deAndré Gide- son de una "presencia infinita". El intenso simbolismo desus poemas se construye sobre una tupida red de conexioneshorizontales y verticales. La poesía -ha señalado- "trapichea en esafrontera que puede separar lo lógico y lo realista de loirracionalista y lo metafísico". Vecindad es su sexto libro de poemas.
