When She Talks of Home

When the woman you have loved for more than sixty years begins talking about home, what does "home" really mean?

Ed and Lynn Kehler began their life together in 1962. Through more than six decades of marriage, they raised a family, travelled, served others, laughed, struggled, prayed, and built a lifetime of memories together.

Then, in February 2024, everything changed.

A sudden illness affected Lynn's ability to communicate and began a journey through hospitals, rehabilitation, dementia care, and the gradual loss of much that had once been familiar.

But love remained.

Ed continued to walk beside her-visiting, holding her hand, reading Scripture, singing the old hymns, praying with her, and treasuring those unexpected moments when the Lynn he had always known seemed to shine through.

When She Talks of Home is more than a story about illness and caregiving. It is the story of a marriage, a family, and a faith tested by circumstances they never expected.

Above all, it is a testimony that when our own strength is no longer enough, the grace of God is.
