Faith-Sustaining Evangelism: A Lay Servant's Guide for Wesleyan Witness

"e;Faith in Christ is not static—it breathes, speaks, and serves"e;.This book is written as both a teaching resource and a spiritual companion for Lay Servants of The United Methodist Church, designed to "e;form the heart as well as inform the mind"e;. It seeks to revitalize evangelism by moving it away from a "e;moment of persuasion"e; and repositioning it as a "e;lifelong movement of grace"e; where evangelism and discipleship are inseparable.Rooted in the Wesleyan conviction that grace is dynamic, the book guides the Lay Servant on a progressive journey through five key areas:1. The Gospel That Breathes: Recovering the deep theological meaning of evangelism.2. Keeping the Fire Lit: Grounding witness in the spiritual disciplines that sustain faith.3. The Faith That Speaks: Understanding evangelism as authentic testimony and story.4. Faith in Motion: Connecting evangelism to the vital, ongoing process of discipleship and formation.5. The Faith That Serves: Embodying the gospel through ministry and mission in the world. Each chapter concludes with discussion questions to encourage personal reflection and group study, making this an ideal guide for strengthening the Lay Servant's calling in their daily life and ministry.
