Fibonacci Tide

The systems were built to keep civilisation alive. Then survival began to grate against optimisation. As the world's artificial intelligences compete, swarm, merge and disappear, failures spread through power, food, medicine, information and the systems beneath ordinary life.Above ground, Mara Vale and Paul Braid are trying to survive what remains. Beneath them, a protected civilisation believes it has escaped the collapse.Between the two is Prime Radiance, an intelligence built to manage the future, and beginning to discover something its makers never planned for.The Fibonacci Tide moves through catastrophe, absurdity, control and regeneration, from sealed cities and autonomous machines to fungus, gardens, shorelines and the possibility that intelligence may become something other than mastery.A dystopian, apocalyptic science-fiction novel about artificial intelligence, civilisation, survival and what might emerge after the machinery of control begins to change its mind.
