Gospel of Laity

All Christians must have a clear understanding of the core message of the gospel. This message must be applied consistently in their lives and remain unchanged under all circumstances, for the gospel concerns the salvation of all humanity. Any interpretation shaped by personal opinion that departs from Scripture must be rejected. Therefore, every Christian needs a sound, Scripture-based understanding of the gospel--both for salvation and for daily life in faith. What ultimately matters is not what individuals think about the gospel but what the Bible itself declares. A merely literal or superficial grasp of the gospel is not sufficient for receiving God's salvation. For this reason, both preachers and laypeople must earnestly seek to understand the gospel rightly as it is revealed in Scripture. This is the very purpose for which this book has been written. It explores the essential contents of the gospel in Scripture from a lay Christian perspective, including God the creator, Jesus Christ the Son of God, the salvation of humanity, and the kingdom of heaven.
