Val Kilmer stars as the eponymous DC Comics superhero in this action adventure directed by Joel Schumacher. Former District Attorney Harvey 'Two-Face' Dent (Tommy Lee Jones) is terrorising Gotham City when a new villain appears on the scene: The Riddler (Jim Carrey). Together they plot to take over Gotham and discover Batman's identity using a device which can probe the human mind. Meanwhile, Batman is joined in his fight by Robin (Chris O'Donnell), whose family have recently been slain by Two-Face. The cast also includes Nicole Kidman and Michael Gough.
