Tom Berenger, Jeff Daniels and Martin Sheen star in this war drama centred on the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863. As the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia under the command of General Robert E. Lee (Sheen) gathers near the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Lieutenant General James Longstreet (Berenger) receives intelligence that the Union Army of the Potomac is advancing towards their position. The ensuing three-day battle between the Union and Confederate forces proves to be one of the bloodiest and most decisive battles of the American Civil War as both sides try to rally their troops to victory. The cast also includes Stephen Lang, Sam Elliott and Richard Jordan.
